The mobile app offers full access to buying/selling on Coinbase.com, the mobile Wallet experience, and more. You can use the same Wallet recovery phrase on both.

Can I buy crypto directly in the extension?

Primarily, the extension manages existing assets and connects to Web3. To buy crypto with fiat (USD, EUR, etc.), you typically need to log into your account on Coinbase.com or use the mobile app. Some integrated dApps may offer fiat on-ramps visible in the extension.

How do I log into Coinbase.com or Advanced Trade using the extension?

The extension itself does not handle your main Coinbase login. It provides convenient links. To access your exchange account or Coinbase Advanced Trade, you must click the link in the extension and then enter your Coinbase.com login credentials (email, password, 2FA) directly on the Coinbase website.

Is there a fee for the Coinbase® Extension?
